Albatros CMS

Overview

Project Albatros is a comprehensive redesign of our CMS, modernizing the user interface and experience with Material Design 3 principles. This initiative aims to create a more intuitive, efficient platform that enhances usability, presents a unified visual identity, and exceeds current industry standards for content management systems.

The Challenge

Our current CMS is outdated, causing issues with navigation, tasks, and consistency. Project Albatros aims to address these problems through a comprehensive redesign. By improving user flows, implementing new UX strategies, and following Material Design 3, we'll create a modern, intuitive CMS that enhances productivity and satisfaction.

‍Team Structure and Collaboration

For this project, we formed a dedicated taskforce consisting of myself as the UI/UX designer and a team of skilled programmers. This collaborative approach allowed us to bridge the gap between design and implementation effectively.

Research and Design

To ensure our redesign accurately addresses user needs, I conducted extensive internal research, including:

1. In-depth interviews with diverse user groups to gather insights on workflows and pain points
2. Comprehensive competitor analysis to understand industry standards and identify areas for innovation
3. Collaborative workshops using custom-designed user flow and persona templates in Miro
4. Iterative testing and refinement of new UX concepts

This thorough research process resulted in a set of well-informed design requirements that directly address our users' needs and goals. The new design promises significant improvements, focusing on:

• Intuitive navigation
• Streamlined processes
• Updated interface based on Material Design 3 principles

The redesigned CMS will not only meet current user expectations but also pave the way for future innovations in content management.

Throughout the process, our taskforce worked in close collaboration, with regular sync-ups to ensure alignment between design vision and technical implementation. This integrated approach allowed us to create a product that is both visually appealing and technically robust.
